RCA Open House

Parents and students, Rockdale Career Academy is excited to be hosting an in person Open House this year. The following should answer your questions about Open House this year.

Open House - July 29th, 2021, 4:00-8:00PM
1. Please reserve Open House time slots for 9th and 10th grades and students new to RCA.
2.Please reserve a time slot in order to attend Open House.
3. Please allow at least 40 minutes in order to walk your student's schedule.
4. Only 1 parent/guardian per child will be allowed.
5. We are asking that all attendees exit the building at the end of their allotted time.
4. Masks are required for all attending.
5. 11th and 12th grade students should access their schedules through Infinite Campus. Please see General Information below for additional information.

Dual Enrollment Open House - August 4th, 2021, 5:00-7:00PM
1. Only 1 parent/guardian per child will be allowed.
2. We are asking that all attendees exit the building at the end of their allotted time.
3. Masks are required for all attending.
4. This Open House is for students who are registered for Dual Enrollment courses at RCA for the 2021-2022 School Year.

Tours for those who cannot attend Open House
1. Only 1 parent/guardian per child will be allowed.
2. Masks are required for all attending.
3. Make sure you register as slots are limited.
NOTE: Not all teachers may be available during tours.

Infinite Campus Parent Portal
Parents, if you have not already done so, please set up an Infinite Campus parent portal account (click here for directions). Parent Portal allows you to monitor your children's attendance and grades.  Click here to go to the Parent Portal, and be sure to download the free "Campus Parent" app for iPhone and Android in their respective app stores.

We ask that all parents (new and returning) please complete Annual Student Updates prior to the first day of school. This process allows parents to update contact information and sign school forms (such as the laptop checkout form) digitally. To get started, log into Parent Portal, click "More," then click "Annual Student Updates."

Students can access their grades, attendance, and unofficial transcript on Infinite Campus by logging into ClassLink and opening the Campus Student app.

Schedule Concerns
On July 26, 2021, students will be able to access their schedules for the 2021-22 SY in Infinite Campus.  Please know that we do not change schedules; however, if your student has a scheduling error, please use this link (2021-22 Schedule Concernto notify your counselor.

All students will receive their updated schedules on the first day of school; additionally, students and parents may continue to view updated schedules in Infinite Campus.  Please make sure to complete all information correctly in case your counselor needs to contact you. Should your student have a scheduling concern with their Rockdale, Heritage or Salem schedule, please contact those schools. 

Information for Families New to Rockdale County Public Schools
Rockdale County Public Schools is a one-to-one district, meaning that each child is issued a Dell 3190 laptop to complete schoolwork.  Click here for information on the laptop.  Click here for information on our one-to-one program in general.

There is a $10 Technology Fee assessed on each device, and this fee can be paid securely in Infinite Campus Parent Portal.  The Technology Fee covers the device in the event of accidental damage or theft.  If your laptop is ever stolen, please contact local police, obtain a police report, and make an appointment to submit the report to the school, and you may be issued a replacement device.

Information for Students Returning to RCPS
All students who were enrolled in an RCPS middle or high school last year may keep the laptop they were issued last year.  For more information about laptop pick-up or drop off, please contact your home school.

If your laptop is not working, is working poorly, or has physical damage, you can make an appointment with the INTEL to have it repaired or replaced.  Please  contact your home school.
